I'm not worried about meeting your parents. But I do appreciate you looking out for me and doing your best to put me at ease. Someday though I hope to meet your parents, talk with your dad man to man and listen as your mom relates the wisdom she gained from raising you. And frankly, if a guy isn't willing to meet your parents, he's not worth your time. Who you are today owes much to the upbringing you received. As your friend, I owe your parents a thank you for that.
With joy,

God's love is written in the green light when you're running late, the red light when you need to stop and think, the citrus smell when you're peeling an orange, the way a plant perks up after being watered, the feeling as words bubble over themselves when you're sitting across from a Godly, attractive young lady....God's love is written in the mundane, in the everyday. Each breath, every heartbeat is proof that His love hasn't run out, that His grace has given us another moment. And maybe, maybe when we grasp the grain of sand that is God's infinite love in the mundane we'll be able to see the galaxy, the universe that is God's humble love on the cross.
Sharing life isn't about making speeches or giving advice. It's about being there when there are insights to be shared and advice to be given.
We choose what each day will be like. How will I respond to a curve ball? Will I duck? maybe it's time we stopped saying "Have a good day" and started encouraging other to be good that day. Fully recognizing that goodness only comes from Christ.
Give others a chance, they might just surprise you.
Taking pictures of shot put and discus throwing makes it look like some strange form of ballet in each freeze frame.
Words are the bow on the gift of our actions. Cheap, but the necessary final touch on a well wrapped present.
Maybe if we stopped being so concerned about our dreams and started to concern ourselves with the dreams of others we'd discover that our own dreams have changed and, wonderfully, been fulfilled.
Every moment is unique and therefore uniquely beautiful. In a world of diamonds, onyx shines brightest.
